When thinking of how I wanted to start out on this posting adventure I decided to focus on the lyrics to my very first release. Truth is I’ve been a writer most of my life, but it wasn’t until I found the medium of combining words with melodies that I found something special deep inside me. To that end I believe all good songwriters are great story tellers. I hope you find that in me. As for this first release, it is a song titled “She’s Lightning” and the lyrics are as follows:

When I wrote this song I wanted to capture the essence of a person that from first sight changes everything within you. They bring out parts of you that you never knew existed… The very best parts! They set you on fire and make you bounce in ways you never thought possible. And, when you hear their voice, see their smile, and share space with them the world is all as it should be. It’s almost as if you don’t know how you ever lived without them and perhaps they were always there on a separate plane just waiting for the right time to come along. My hope is that everyone finds this kind of love in their lifetime. We all deserve it.
